Apparently about 10 Government agencies were using ID.me to esnure identities. But this guy managed to scam them and ended up with $900K in fraudulent funds before he was caught

Jaklitsch claimed to be a zookeeper, a bank teller, a fitness instructor, and a museum director – all making over $100,000 and being laid off due to the pandemic. He applied for unemployment for each of them. Apparently he was caught by ID.me when they investigated (he must have made a mistake somewhere…).
