The residents of Louisville, KY find this to be very amusing.
One of the previous mayors was all touchy feely and decided to put in miles and miles of bike paths (yes, even residents admit he over-did it…), and strangely enough he added the Turtle Crossing sign that you see below.
Note that there is an arrow pointing to a condo that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell lives in when he is in Kentucky.
I’m not sure what this is meant to imply, Mitch certainly didn’t put in the turtle sign. Maybe Mitch occasionally has turtles as guests for dinner.
Oooorrrr, I’m sure you didn’t realize that Kentucky is BIG on turtle soup. Maybe it means that no turtle should die before its time!
