France is turning the lights out

It seems to me that the sanctions against Russia because of the invasion of Ukraine are having a lot more effects in Europe than in Russia.

In this article, Macron is telling the people of France that he will be turning off street lamps at night to save energy.

This winter will be brutal. Germans are stockpiling firewood. Arenas are be converted to “warmup places.”

I guess that is what you get when you become dependent on Russian oil and gas.
