It is true.
The lone exception is the Chernobly nuclear plant in 1986. Chernobyl was so poorly designed that the containment process didn’t work, About 100 died directly, but the radiation problem was massive.
How many people died at Three Mile Island? Zero. All of the safety protocols worked perfectly.
How about Fukishima in Japan, attacked by a Tsunami? Apparently one from radiation exposure, and 16 injured from a related explosion. More people died directly from the Tsunami.
The bottom line is that with modern practices nuclear energy very clean and very safe.
And yet in the United States, we have not begun the construction of a new one in the last 30 years.
