If you really want to get away from it all, why not try Saudia Arabia (besides the facts that they do not allow alcohol, bacon is punishable by death, er, or something, and women can be whacked with a small whip for showing skin). It is called AlUla, and they are ruins that have been compared to Machu Picchu in Peru.
They have built resorts into the rocks of AlUla, they seem pretty luxurious. They are hoping to get millions of tourists into this area by 2035.
