This is a real thing, the screaming vomits, or “scromits” are a potential side effect of smoking marijuana. According to a source (see below) it is the result of long term high does use of cannabis and can last for weeks.
The word “scromit” was invented in 2008, but the phenomenon was noted in research in 2004. Apparently, this has become a lot more common.
However, cannabis proponents say this is a very rare condition and the threat is overblown.
I was not able to find a video of anyone actively in the throes of scromiting, apparently it is mostly done in private.

I’ve known regular users of marijuana since the late 1960s and have never encountered or even heard about this condition. Perhaps it’s not the weed that’s causing the issue, but the fentanyl or other secret ingredients added to “improve potency”. Considering that people have been smoking weed in this nation since before the 20th century, and it became very popular in the 1960s and 1970s, knowledge of this “very rare condition” should have surfaced long before 2004. I’m curious as to why screaming has to accompany vomiting, and why it would last for weeks, when marijuana overdose symptoms, very rare themselves, usually end in a day or two at most.
