Rolls Royce is testing an engine that runs solely on hydrogen. Of course when you burn hydrogen you get only water, you do no unleashed evil CO2 into the atmosphere.
It is difficult to run a plane, much less a jet, on electricity because batteries are very heavy.
I’m know chemist, but I do know that pound for pound, jet fuel produces a lot more energy than hydrogen. This will take a lot of work.
