The EU doesn’t guarantee free speech. It seems they don’t really give a crap.
When he completed his purchase of Twitter, Elon Musk tweeted, “the bird is freed,” implying that the censorship policy of the liberal, woke predecessors would go away.
Then the European Union’s internet market commissioner Thierry Breton said, “In Europe, the bird will fly by our [EU flag emoji] rules.”
First, this nasty woman should be fired.
In Europe they have passed, The Digital Services Act (DSA), a new set of rules for social media and ecommerce companies that was recently passed and will come into effect next year. It aims at making internet businesses liable for societal risks like hate speech. In other words, anything the EU leaders don’t like must be censored.
This is as bad or worse than the situation we had in the U.S. with Twitter, and that we still have with Amazon, Google and Facebook.
Not sure when we will get over it.
Of course the EU does not want free people with free voices: It could damage the carefully fabricated general “Opinion”.
We all know that from such dangerous Revelations of Truth Revolutions of Freedom and Equality could arise.
And where would we get with that?
People might believe they have a mother and father – and could be, each respectively, the same!
And that when 2 countries that had bad wars before, but now connect their economies with pipelines, that really means PEACE!
And that training riflemen of a radical nationalism to shoot and kill people and cause a “Regime Change” is NOT good for anyone!
And that driving two nations, divided by history, culture, language to civil war against each other to harm others is still worse!
And that giving weapons to one side for bombing the other – and that only for getting others into it – is about the worst crime!
Thank -no, not Him- we don’t have real press and news anymore! Our leaders have learnt since <y Lai: It can end wars!
That must not happen again – and as we see daily: It won't!
Corrigendum: It is ‘My Lai’, of course! – remember that crying girl running naked from her burning village?
That picture did a lot to end the Vietnam War.
Of, course, the same picture could have been shown – but with a report about the “brutality of the communists”
– as we have often see, from South and Central America, from Libya, from Syria, from Iraq, and many other places.
“Journalists” had to do that – for fear of “friendly fire” – so they stopped being ‘Journalists’ and became “embedded”.
But that ONE real JOURNALIST was brave – and so were two helicopter crew who took him to safety.
That’s why we saw it – and why the war ended.
Let us pray for such a brave person again!
