Whole Foods – Pay by Scanning your Palm

Register your hands?

My hands are registered with the FBI as deadly weapons! (No, they don’t actually do that…)

But do you want your palms scanned in Whole Foods so that you just pay with a scan?

It might be convenient, but think of the down side. Whole Foods now has your biometric data, data that is permanently attached to you. They can now track you, uniquely. If someone images your palm, guess what? They can rip you off FOREVER, because you cannot change your palm print.

I’m a privacy buff, so I believe this is a horrible idea. I won’t do it.
