NASA has built the “universe machine” which is actually the James Webb Space Telescope. It has been placed in orbit past the moon’s orbit and will replace and add capability to what we have with the Hubble telescope. This technology is beyond state of the art, and will see into the universe where we have never seen before.

It is about 20 feet wide making in the largest space telescope in history. (But not actually the largest satellite, spy satellites had antenna much larger…). It weighs about two and a half tons.
