Since Russia invaded Ukraine, we have endeavored to make Russia’s life miserable. Despite Biden’s sanctions and much of the West boycotting Russia, Russia is now making more money than ever.
I’m not sure if Putin was counting on this, but it was pretty easy to predict that the price of oil would rise. What wasn’t predicted was that Russia would find other customers and that the price would stay high. So not only are we not squeezing Russia, the war has turned a net profit for them.
This has been handled very stupidly by the Biden Administration.
