Apparently one of the jurors did not reveal that he had been a victim of sex abuse. He in fact lied about it.
He also revealed that he talked about it during the jury’s deliberations.
On one hand, perhaps it was good for the jury to get his first hand experience.
On the other hand, he was, in effect, testifying and influencing the jury, outside of the control of the court room. His testimony was not revealed to the defense attorney, A jury is supposed to be impartial. This guy clearly was not.
As despicable as her actions were, she has the right to a fair trial. I would have voted for retrial.
