Shilpa Shetty, famous for the British version of Celebrity Big Brother was with Richard Gere at an event in India. They were on stage, he planted a big kiss on her (see below). This was in 2007.
Apparently in India you are not allowed to kiss in public.
Shetty was charged with public obscenity, apparently in danger of going to prison. After 15 years, she has finally been cleared. Go figure.
