This meme is funny because it launches into complexities inappropriate to the audience, but it actually talks of real world principles. In America we value freedom above all else and have shown over and over again our willingness to die for it.
However Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, shows security as one of the basic needs, stronger than any social construct such as “freedom” (we do actually try to teach you things here). But yet we believe, and expect people to value freedom the most.
