Some students in Switzerland have installed a 23 foot, 3-D printed habitat on their campus.
Called the Rosenberg Space Habitat, it is intended to fit in a SpaceX rocket.
“The Rosenberg Space Habitat is state-of-the-art in analog space habitats,” said Sebastian Frederiksen, founder of SAGA Space Architects, in the institute’s press release. “It was developed in record time from initial sketches to the final fully functioning habitat in just months.”
“The design of the vessel was developed over a two-year period by the architecture firm SAGA Space Architects in collaboration with Institut auf dem Rosenberg students between the ages of 6 and 18.”
Wish my high school was like that…
