New research from ETH Zurich, a wearable textile “exomuscle” that provides extra layers of muscles.

“Endurance increased by about a third in the healthy subjects and by roughly 60% in the participant with muscular dystrophy, while the participant with a spinal cord injury was even able to perform the exercises three times as long.”

For me that means I would be able to lift rough 900 lbs, or run a 3 minute mile.

But seriously, this is spiderman-like technology and, in addition to helping patients with muscular distrophy and other muscle disorders, it could easily be used for special forces soldiers, emergency rescue worker or even warehouse workers.

I want one.
