FINA (Fédération internationale de natation), the body that governs international swimming events has published a policy that bans transgender athletes from entering women’s competitions.
That is unless, of course, they finished their “transition” before the age of 12. FINA promised to hold “open” events for transgender athletes, and they can compete in the men’s categories if they want.
