I never realized that Gen Z had an aversion to sex. Gen Z are the people born after 1996.
The article says “One seminal study found that Gen Zers between the age of 20 and 24 were more likely than both millennials and Gen Xers to report having had no sexual partners.” Apparently they are also less likely to have a job or a drivers license.
Her theory is that Gen Z’ers have fewer opportunities to meet in person, and may be having more sex online.
My theory is that parents are not teaching boys to be men and girls to be women. But that’s a whole other article.
Yuck. I think I’d prefer the old fashioned ways.
The fact that you think parents, or anyone, can “teach” gender, is both ignorant, and disturbing. Gender, as well as maturity, are things that naturally develop on their own, and do so differently for each person. You can’t teach (or “force”) it onto someone. Psychiatrists will tell you this. Of course you probably think psychiatrists are a bunch of woke morons. Along with all of those doctors and their vaccines that are really meant to secretly kill all of us! ? and no, I’m not even a liberal (or as you would probably lovingly call, a “libtard”) like you’re probably already assuming. I’m a pro-life independent, and have a lot of Republicans in my family. I don’t know what the hell happened to the party ever since Trump. But that’s another story. …Getting back to this article, do we really want to be encouraging teenagers to be sexually active? I’m confused. You act as if there’s something bad about kids abstaining from sex in their teens and early twenties. Is this not a good thing? We need to get that unplanned and teen pregnancy rate going back up again, right? And then we complain about abortion? Hello? I don’t know about you, but high school and college kids abstaining from being sexually active goes right along with *my* Christian values, and common sense. Go figure. Less teen pregnancy, less unplanned pregnancies, less abortions, less STDs, maybe even more self dignity and integrity to wait until marriage before just throwing sexuality away like it’s a meaningless recreational activity. I’m really confused how you think this is some sort of “problem”. Especially from someone who is supposed to have Conservative Christian values. And if you don’t have that, just have common sense.
