Looks like “National Read a Book Day” didn’t work its magic this year. Almost half of Americans admit they didn’t crack open a single book in 2023, and that’s despite a whole holiday dedicated to reading. Maybe we should celebrate with fewer reminders and more page-turners—because it seems like we could all use a little more time with a good story.
