In a move that’s either groundbreaking or deeply unsettling, the Times is encouraging its staff to use AI tools to write headlines, summarize articles, and even code. While the paper insists AI will help journalists “uncover the truth,” some staffers are worried it might uncover a whole lot of nonsense instead. After all, when your AI-generated headline reads “Elon Musk Adopts a Shark as a Pet,” you know something’s fishy.
