South Korea and the U.S. ran some aerial military exercise.
North Korea did not like that. They have responded by firing off 30 missiles. These were not aimed at anything but they were provocative. Provocative enough to cause Japan to trigger evacuation drills.
In response, South Korea scrambled 80 jet fighters.
“Experts say North Korea is escalating brinkmanship aimed at forcing the United States to accept it as a nuclear power and at negotiating economic and security concessions from a position of strength.”
But we all know that KIm Jung Un, the North Korean leader, is not the most stable guy in the world. If he is angry, he could very easily pull the trigger and start a war.
And in case you don’t know, there are thousands of artillery pieces in the hills near Seoul aim at the city. If war starts, hundreds of thousands of people could die within days.
