This is a bit strange. The faced on U.S. currency are almost always white guys. But the mint has started to send out coins to the Federal Reserve featuring important women in our history. So far Maya Angelou and Sally Ride have been feature this year.

Now, the U.S. mint has decided to put an obscure asian american actress from the 1920’son the quarter – Anna May Wong.

And these are not “commemorative” coins either, the mint is printing up about 500 million of them. I haven’t seen any of them though…

I would think that Sarah Palin or Nikki Haley might be good choices, but I’m not holding my breath. This is the Biden Administration after all…
