The Synthetic Party of Denmark intends to use a political platform churned out by an artificial intelligence. Yes, folks a whole political party that some hope will participate in
“We’re representing the data of all fringe parties, so it’s all of the parties who are trying to get elected into parliament but don’t have a seat. So it’s a person who has formed a political vision of their own that they would like to realize, but they usually don’t have the money or resources to do so,” Asker Staunæs, the creator of the party.
The public face is a chatbot called Lars Leader.
Apparently, it is a socialist chatbot since one of its proposals is universal basic income (which by the way, has never EVER produced anything except bums.). So this is not a particularly bright AI. Somehow I’m thinking this AI thinks surprisingly much like its programmer.
Yes, that is exactly what we need a computer whose principles no one questions. But then if they are willing to support a stupid chatbot, then it might be just the thing.
