As technology enhances our lives more and more, we are in more and more danger of abusing it, using the asymmetric power of knowledge and strength to gain unfair advantages over others.
We also may be in danger of absorbing so much technology that the technology, not our humanity, takes precedence. I would rather be a human at the bottom of society than a machine at the top. But we must prevent ourselves from making that sacrifice.
