The Kardashev scale measures a civilization’s level of technological advancement based on the amount of energy it is able to use, proposed by Soviet astronomer Nikolai Kardashev in 1964.

We are clearly a “Type 0” civilization, for some reason there are no levels between discovering fire and harnessing all of the potential energy of the earth. And I can’t think of a less useful scale of measuring human society, since we have no examples to scrutinize.

Of course, personally I am already at the Type VI level. I create and destroy multiverses all the time. You are lucky I like you.
