Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets was a mildly interesting science fiction fantasy move based on a comic. It lost money, but there may be a sequel at some point.
But Rhianna’s performance as “Bubble” was mesmerizing. It takes the movie from a non-performing dud to an interesting and memorable experience.
