The Phalanx CIWS is not new, but I had never really seen it in action before. These videos are scary.
The idea of the Phalanx is to put up so much metal, so fast that it blankets the area around a missile and knocks it out of the sky, even though the missile may be moving too fast to see with the naked eye.
