The Russians are building an Arctic port and clearing the way for sea traffic got go basically through the North Pole (OK, not quite…) to get to Northern Europe. It reduces the trip from 48 days to 19 days. Cost will be over $110 Billion.
They are calling this the “Arctic Silk Road.” Its primary purpose will be to ship oil. And maybe they know something about global warming that we don’t???
