The Russian Typhoon class submarine was already the largest in the world. But the Severrodvinsk is an upgraded version with stealth features. Apparently shortly after it was launched, we lost it and couldn’t find it for many weeks.
It is a very scary think to have a submarine with (likely) nuclear weapons on board, that can sneak up on us that effectively or just get lost sufficiently well that we can’t defend against it.
The video is worth watching just to see the sheer size of the sub. Awesome tech from our best friends, the Russians.
