I’m not sure I understand completely, but these are frog cells that form configurations that scientist hope will eventually do useful work. It appears that the cells within the clump (which can move on its own) maintain the configuration of the clump through 5 generations of cell reproduction.

I know, a bit convoluted, but the goal is to eventually make clumps of human cells that can perform useful things inside the human body.

And yes, this is a bit creepy. But since I am very interested in living to be 400 years, this is an innovation that I want to follow.
