Do you want to know why the world is like it is? This may or may not help.

This is a Rexcast video that includes my good friend George McMillan, explaining complex events happening in the world, how disparate parts fit together and how you might analyze them. Rex is a great interviewer.

To understand this you need one of three things:

  1. Be a professor with Ph.D’s in economics, philosophy and history. Not many of these, in fact most professors end up walking away because they haven’t the interdisciplinary training to follow. However, Nobel prizes winners John Nash and Vernon Smith were both enthusiastic supporters of George’s work.
  2. Be military or military contractor who has spent time in iraq, Afghanistan or other war zones.
  3. Be decently educated, curious and very well read in international affairs, WSJ is a good source. (If you are a TUM reader, that’s you! Trust me)

It’s long, so grab a cup of coffee (or perhaps a beer) and settle in for a bit.
