Ever have fantasies of traveling on the old Orient Express train? A few years ago, a French company found some of the old cars from the 1920’s and restored them to their former glory.

“All the decorations were intact and it was as if time had stood still,” said Parisian architect Maxime d’Angeac who was enlisted to restore them.
The interiors included Art Deco marquetry panels by English decorators Morrison and Nelson, as well as glass panels by French craftsman René Lalique.

Unfortunately, you can’t ride in them. They are on exhibit, and you can get tickets to see them. But hopefully this will inspire luxury in future trains.
