Ukraine has long been considered the “bread basket” of Eurasia, they provided grains and food stuff for a great many countries, especially in the third world.
As it it happens, some other grain producing countries, notably Brazil and Argentina have experienced severe droughts this year.
The U.S. produces a lot of grain, but if there is a shortage it will follow the money, it will never reach the third world.
This means that if the war in Ukraine prevents crops from being planted this spring, many countries, like Egypt, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Yemen will be well short of what is takes to feed their populations.
You won’t hear about this in the mainstream media, but it is easily verifiable.
This may help.
