This is map of the Russian attack positions in Ukraine according to the Bristish defence ministry as of three days ago. You can see that Russian controls all of the eastern borders and the cities there, they have surrounded Kyiv. They are just starting to attack western targets.
Note that the diagram underneath is from a Russian information source from several days earlier. They claim to control a great deal more. But this is how information in war works. Each side is tells their story.
