Chevy Chase did not think he was good enough to be a drummer at the next level, but he was once a professional drummer for a group called Leather Canary.
Two other guys in the band were Donald Fagan and Walter Becker. They happened to be the founders of the next band they called “Steely Dan.”
Fagan and Becker reeled in Jim Hodder on the drums and made the first Steely Dan album called “Can’t But a Thrill” in 1972.
Sorry Chevy, you can be famous for other things.
