I was a fan of Whoopi Goldberg in her days as Guinan on Star Trek, and in the Sister Act movies.
But her stint on The View has shown a different side, a holier-than-though, leftist, racist side that I find utterly distasteful.
And now she has made some racist comments about the Holocaust, and is in trouble for it.
“Let’s be truthful about it because [the] Holocaust isn’t about race,” Goldberg said on Monday’s episode. “It’s not about race. It’s about man’s inhumanity to man.”
This coming from a person whose every comment about the problems of African Americans is about race and racism.
In actual fact, it was about race, Hitler considered Jews to be an inferior race. Goldberg’s lack of understanding of race issues should be noted here, since she talks about it all the time, thinking she is an expert.
I have to laugh at the response from the ABC, basically scolding her like a school child (see the image below). And yes, she needed it.
